Stay on top of updates
Notifications connect you back to the work behind an update. Use them to read what changed, then respond in the ticket or conversation where the update belongs.
Before you begin
- An active workspace account.
- Access to the ticket or conversation behind a notification.
What you’ll learn
- Review unread updates.
- Open their source and mark them read.
- Adjust supported notification preferences.
In this guide
1. Review notifications in one place
Open the notification bell to review Notifications, then choose View all notifications if you want more space. The unread indicator tells you that there are updates you have not marked as read. Use All to review the full list or Unread to focus on new items.
Read the source and preview of each update. Assignments, comments and other supported work events can tell you what changed, but opening the source gives you the full context.
Choose Unread
Start with new notifications rather than scanning every historical update.
Open the source
Select the notification to return to the relevant ticket, message or conversation when it is still available to you.
Act in context
Reply, update the ticket or review its attachments in the source page. The notification itself does not replace the work record.
2. Manage read and unread state
Use a notification’s read control to mark it read or unread. Mark all as read is useful after you have reviewed the list. Read state helps organize your attention; it does not change an issue’s status or close a conversation.
- Keep a notification unread if you need to return to it.
- Open the work record to confirm whether an action is still needed.
- A source that was removed or that you can no longer access may not open.
- If the list cannot load, use its refresh action or retry after checking your connection.
3. Adjust your preferences
Open Settings and choose Notifications. Review the supported controls for assignments, comments and status changes, then save your preferences. These preferences belong to your account rather than changing the whole team’s access.
The notification center is part of the platform. Do not assume that changing a preference enables email, push or another delivery channel unless that option is explicitly offered and configured.
